DEMOCRATIC DIALING

Political Calling
for Democrats and Others

We Never Use VoIP

What about all those mystery vendors popping up and offering cheap robocalls at cut-rate prices?

They are using VoIP, and they may not be dialing your complete list.

Voice over IP is not suitable for bulk dialing.  We never use it.

Because the Internet does not provide a mechanism to ensure that data packets are delivered in sequential order, or provide quality of service guarantees, VoIP calls have problems dealing with latency and jitter.   This is especially true when satellite circuits are involved, due to long round trip propagation delay (400 milliseconds to 600 milliseconds for geostationary satellite). The receiving node must try to restructure IP packets that may be out of order, delayed or missing, while ensuring that the audio stream maintains a proper time consistency.  The sound quality is drastically degraded.

VoIP problems:

-Available bandwidth

-Delay/Network Latency

-Packet loss

-Jitter

-Echo

-Security

-Reliability

VoIP connections can have less than desirable quality. If IP packets are lost or delayed at any point in the network between VoIP nodes, there will be a momentary drop-out of voice. This is more noticeable in highly congested networks and/or where there are long distances between end points.

With Democratic Dialing every one of your calls goes out over a distinct telephone line, giving unsurpassed performance and reliability.
